2017 ABOG-David Rockefeller Fund Joint Fellow in Criminal Justice jackie sumell is creating Solitary Gardens, a series of cell-sized garden beds designed through correspondence with individuals incarcerated in solitary confinement. Her fellowship supported the creation of The Garrison, a mobile classroom for prison abolition facilitating restorative justice forums and establishing solitary gardens with partners around the U.S.
