GRANT GUIDELINES
GRANTS TO INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS

A Blade of Grass awards unrestricted grants to individual artists who live and work in the NYC metropolitan area, can demonstrate financial need, and whose work actively engages our mission. This year, grantees will be determined via an experimental curatorial process that aims to generate transparency around the funding process and build a set of resources by and for artists that explore different strategies for economic sustainability.  Click here to find out more about this year's process for Grants to Individual Artists.

GRANTS TO ORGANIZATIONS    –
Deadline: January 31st, 2013

A Blade of Grass gives one-time grants to New York City based public charities that are finding new audiences and purposes for contemporary art by engaging communities. Grant proposals can be project based or seek operating funds. By comparing our funding of projects and operating grants over the next five years, we are seeking ways to improve the funding process and promote holistic organizational growth.
