Tracy Fenix is the Programs and Administrative Associate at A Blade of Grass. Fenix is a queer Xicanx Mexican-American cultural advocate, emerging curator and creative collaborator who was raised in the borderland of El Paso, Texas. Fenix recently served as the Curatorial Fellow at Wave Hill in the Bronx, NY, where they were responsible for coordinating exhibitions and programs including Outcasts: Women in the Wilderness, an exhibition co-curated by Deborah Frizzell and Harry Weil featuring 13 international feminist artists including Chitra Ganesh, Scherezade Garcia, Zanele Muholi and Nancy Spero. Fenix was also a 2017 Innovative Cultural Advocacy Fellow at the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute. Previously, Fenix worked for the Latino Arts Residency Program (LARP) at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center in Austin, Texas. Fenix is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a 2017 fellow at the Art and Law Program in New York.
